Q: How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

A: All renters must be aged at 21+ years for standard vehicles, at the commencement of the rental. You must be aged 25+ years for specialty vehicles.

Q: What Driver's License do I need to rent a vehicle?

A: Red Back Car Rentals recognises all current non-provisional and non-probationary Australian drivers licenses and current overseas licenses.

The required driver's license must be in English with photo and produced at the commencement of the rental. Should the license be in another language or have no photo, an International Driving Permit must accompany it.

Q: Is there an additional charge if there will be more than one driver?

A: Yes, there are additional driver charges. Please refer to the booking section (vehicle specific) All drivers must be present at the rental counter at the time of collection, we'll then apply your details to the rental.
